Traditional Fried Falafel

Traditional Fried Falafel is a popular Mediterranean food that is vegetarian, and high in protein and fiber. Falafel is often made into balls, and then stuffed into a pita, and can also be used to make vegetarian burgers.
[threecol_one]Prep Time : 30 min[/threecol_one] [threecol_one]Cook Time : 15 min[/threecol_one] [threecol_one_last]Ready Time : 45 min[/threecol_one_last]
Ingredients
1 cup Tarazi Falafel Mix
3/4 cup Water
Form mixture into 2 inch round balls using a falafel scooper, or by hand.
Olive Oil Amount depends on size of fryer; add approx. 4 inches.
Directions
Mix Falafel Mix with water. Let stand for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Heat 4 inches of oil on medium high heat (about 275*-300* F).
Form mixture into 2 inch round balls using a falafel scooper, or by hand.
Fry in oil 1-2 minutes or until golden brown.
Makes 12 falafel balls.
