DJ, Producer, SUPERTAPE RECORDINGS, Mono>Stereo & Vibe Maker.
As a teenager in the late 80’s in Denver Colorado, Greg grew up listening to new wave, hip-hop, and rock music. In 1991 after hearing local DJs like Hani and John Chamie drop records such as Inner City’s “Good Life” and Soul 2 Soul’s “Back 2 Life,” he was inspired to begin a journey that would lead him into underground music.
He started attending Denver’s early warehouse parties and taking weekend trips to Los Angeles to experience the parties in bigger cities. On one such trip, Greg heard a set by west coast legend Doc Martin and it forever changed his concept of electronic music.
Greg started his DJ career in 1993 at Denver’s Fab Afterhours parties alongside DJ Hipp-e, who is a major influence on his sound to this day. It did not take long before Greg was playing at raves and club events across the US. His dynamic techy house sets landed him sets along side Ritchie Hawtin, Louie Vega, Sasha, The Chemical Brothers, and many others. Rocking dance floors from Seoul to Montreal, Riga to Miami, and from New York to Paris, Greg finally planted down in San Francisco where he held residencies at 1015 Folsom, Ruby Skye and The End Up.
In 2015 he had the guest mix on John Digweed’s Transitions radio show, one of the world’s most successful dance music shows, broadcast across 45 countries to a staggering weekly audience of 14 million. 2023 marks 30 years behind the decks, a new EP on the legendary Nervous Records and the launch of his own SUPERTAPE label.

My name is Timbuk, I'm a Dj and Producer from Denver, Co. owner of Timbuk Records. I started out as a Dj in the early ninety's underground scene. Spinning HipHop and acid jazz when acid jazz was the cutting edge sound at that time. My Dj style is unorthodox in how I build my Dj set. I would play HipHop breaks with acapella vocals and add some acid jazz in the mix so it would be a seemless mix of funky HipHopjazz! This was back in 92 when Denver had an artsy underground scene. Store's like La Casa Del Funk sold stuff like Straight From The Lip t-shirt & dope records like Mo Wax and Street Heat Records Kontents, imi jimi, & Soul Flower also. In 94 I started Dj-ing with a band name Social Narkotics that later became " United Dope Front ". I Did that for about 7-8 years we recorded three albums you can check it out on www.cozonerecords.com DOPE music is still coming out on cozone records… So I'm here in the present and producing my own muzik so check me out @ Timbuk Records.
