Facebook info going public

Post by Rick Bradford » Wed Dec 09, 2009 11:27 pm

FYI, for those with Facebook accounts, they've just changed their privacy set-up and have now made it possible for Google and other search engines to index any information that's been made visible to "everyone" (which previously meant "everyone who is a Facebook user").

This is good or bad depending on your perspective but the good news is that you can still go into your Privacy settings and adjust them as you see fit.

Re: Facebk goes public/ page incites violence against cyclists

Hi.

Please visit and report this page:

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Theres-a- ... 052?ref=mf

The Report Page link is in the lower left corner. You have to click open, rather than open in new tab, in order to Report Page w/o being registered.

Under the heading Inappropriate Content, I simply said, "This page promotes illegal and violent activity.".

The page incites violence against bicyclists;.. why?

Who knows why some assholes do the shit they do? Envy, jealousy, fear?

Sloth and gluttony will get inthe way of riding a bike very often.

Thanks for the heads-up...

I'd like to know whether or not an IP address can be used to search for activity; what and how much does a search, by IP address, yield?

Does a cable modem and cable internet service provider cause any variation in IP address i.e., trackability?

I'll check back here for replies.
